Morgan LeClaire
Actor St. Paul, Minnesota
About Me:
I was raised in Cass Lake-a tiny town of 800 located on the Leech Lake Reservation in northern Minnesota. There was no theatre program at my high school, but not to be deterred, I began putting on my own productions.
My sisters and I wrote and "produced" plays (admission was a quarter for our parents) and later, made movies which we spent hours writing, filming, and editing (on the cheapest software programs we could find). I learned what I could through the speech program and the community theatre of the neighboring city, Bemidji. After earning my BFA in Acting at Minnesota State University, Mankato, I moved to St. Paul where I have been busily auditioning for both theatre and film.
Acting helps me become more aware of the complexities of human nature and, through theatre and film, I work to convey those complexities in a relatable and healing way.
I believe in the ability of performance to effect both change and mindfulness.
